Pretty in Purple

What could be prettier on this cold, damp, rainy day
but beautiful Tilda in purple.

This is a card I made a while back.  Paper is all from
my stash.  The ivory design is cut from the Cricut
using Lacey Labels Cartridge.  Recollection bling on
the left side, flowers from my stash and a pretty
butterfly to top it off.

Tilda is colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Dear Sweet Friends

There are two friends in my life that have come to my house just about every week since my husband passed away.  During the first several weeks they brought me dinner, never asking me to provide anything.  I was pretty numb to the new circumstances of my life.  Now sometimes we eat a meal together or just coffee and tea and talk.  They have supported me,  cried with me,  laughed with me and tried to help me plan and take one day at a time.  It has helped me so very much during this time of grief.

This card can not convey my gratitude for their faithfulness to me, I am stronger because of them as they love me and stand by me.  I thought the saying on the front was just so fitting for them.   Their beauty shines though to me and those around them.

The front is just a simple paper doily.  Paper is Madeline
by Prima.  Center saying is card stock saying.  I cut
it out with a Spellbinders circle die.

The teal card is cut with Spellbinders Label 16.
The stamp is from JustRite "For All You Do
Vintage Labels Three" set of 27 clear stamps.

Going Places

New birthday card I made for a friend .
I used the JustRite going places stamp of the old
fashioned car.   The shape is cut out using the JustRite
die called Vintage Labels & Banner Dies.   I used
Mementos Rich Cocoa Brown Ink to stamp the image and
Bahama Blue for the saying.    The corners are a corner
punch by Ek Success.   Paper if from my stash.   See the
inside below.

I used the same shape for the inside and layered
the two colors a bit for some of the same blue that
is under the corners on the front of the card.
A few sayings on the left, with Tim Holts Distressed
Ink in Walnut Stain.

JustRite Circle of Love Vintage Label Three

Sweet birthday card made for a special friend.   I used JustRite Circle of Love Vintage Labels Three Stamp Set.   The two center shapes are JustRite Vintage labels three dies.  I used the two largest sizes.
Wild Orchid Flowers,  Mementoes Black ink, paper is Prima Madeline Pad.  This is one of my favorite pads of paper.    You can't see it in the photo but the two center shaped have pop dots to raise them up.

Same stamp set and die and same paper for the inside.    I will add
a special note to the top inside for my friend.

Christmas - A season for love.

I know I am a little late but here it my first Christmas Card of the season.  I just have not been able to get back into crafting while I am working though my grief of loosing my love.   Here is my first attempt in long time.

I used a background stamp by Justrite called Christmas Holly Background stamp.
Mementos Black Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers.  I used Tim Holtz Tea Stained
distressing ink to antique the center.   The ornament is Justrite Christmas Miracle Ornaments set of 14 cling stamps.   All the words and shapes are interchangeable for many different looks.  I cut it out with a scissors and glued with pop dots.  Just a little Crystal Stickles which I don't think shows up in the photos.  But it gives it an extra little punch.   Double bow in satin 1 in ribbon from my stash and that's it. Hello all,

Just a quick note to wish you all a very merry Christmas, or a happy Hanukah, or whatever your special holiday is I hope it is the best ever.
.
I have not posted any new items.   This season has been hard for me since it is about three months since I lost my wonderful hubby.

So tonight I am baking some holiday treats.  Tomorrow my daughter Jeneen and I will me making a slue of goodies.  There are so many wonderful neighbors, family and friends I want to bless with some goodies.  

I am hoping to get my crafting MOJO back once the holiday has passed.

Thanks for following my blog this year.  I am looking forward to a new year  and sometime in January moving my craft space down to the refurbished basement.  My husband started fixing up the space for me.  He painted and bought new flooring but was not able to complete it.   Some wonderful people have volunteered to put down the floor and and family have painted.    Once it is completed I will have enough room for classes and I am really looking forward to having some get togethers with family and friends and making new friends.   Once that happens I will definitely post before and after photos.

To you all I wish a very wonderful holiday and great new year.    May you all be blessed by being surrounded with family and friends.  Hold them dear they are the best gift you could ever have.

Hello Dear Followers. 

It has been a long time since I posted anything here on my blog.  Some of you know it is due to my wonderful hubby's passing as his fight with lung cancer ended on Sept 21st.    I just have not been able to craft anything at all since then.  Besides the grief I have been consumed with house worries.  Wondering if I will be able to stay in my home as bills mount up and I make my way through them. 
So crafting has taken a very long back seat.

I am trying to get my life back on track but I have to admit it is not easy to say the least.  My full time job keeps me busy and then I have a the blog and a page for the shop  Fruit Of My Hands where I sell Justrite Stamps and dies along with Memory Box Dies.   Hoping to add more as time goes on.

I will be using my blog to post craft items I make with the items I am selling and I will have a link to my page on blog.  I would so appreciate it if you would become a follower.

The air sure has changed from summer to fall
quickly in our area and the trees are just
starting to hint that fall is around the corner
with a few changing leaves.

This card was so much fun.  All the paper is from
my stash.  Click on the photo to make it larger and
look at the print on the brown card stock.   This is
a stamp called Elegant Fonds Background stamp 
by JustRite.   It is stamped in Mementos Coco Brown
ink.  The Oval shape is Spellbinders Floral Oval cut from
newsprint paper from the Prima Madeline paper stack.
The leave are JustRite Shabby Chick Autumn Leaves
Clear set of stamps.  They are so neat and also have
several words like the Dear Friend saying at the
bottom right corner.

The inside below is another oval from Spellbinders
Floral Oval Die.   The verse is from the same
JustRite stamp, Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves 
which can be found in the store here.

Pretty Layered Card

This is a birthday card I made for a friend.  The design paper is K-OLOGY

By K & Company.   The card stock is Stampin up.  I used JustRite Stamp 

called Cast All Your Cares for the saying on the front in Coco Brown 

Mementos Ink .  Recollection pearls Wild Orchid flowers and two 

Prima flat flowers.  I also used large pop dots to raise two of the layers 

for some dimension.   The curved shape is Spellbinders Scalloped 

Square,  The second shape is Spellbinder Label 16, I used two different 

sized fir the last two top layers.  

Inside of the card:  More of the same paper listed above.  Spellbinder 

Floral Oval for the pretty shape.  Same flower and a butter fly charm 

from Lisa A.   You can see her charms here and a way to contact her.

distressed markers.  The tag is from the I Craft Studio 6

pack of 8 from Michael's dollar bin, which come as a 

plain white tag.  It is covered with First Edition 

Summer Breeze Paper, the oval is cut from 

Spellbinders Standard Oval Die.  The 4" Wilton Doily is 

is lightly distressed Tim Holts Walnut Distressed Ink. 

Layered behind the oval die is more of the same

First Edition Summer Breeze paper.  See the small 

flower was stamped on a separate piece of paper and 

cut out by hand, pop dot behind it makes it stand out 

as an embellishment.  Recollection brown grosgrain

ribbon with a small button hand sewed on to keep 

the ribbon together. 

Now for the inside of the card below.   

The inside is covered with more First Edition

Summer Breeze paper, another  4" Wilton Doily

distressed with more Walnut Ink by Tim Holtz 

More small flower cut out from the stamp are 

placed on the Spellbinders corner die called 

eyelet.
